Simple One-Handed Operation

This easy-to-operate optic clamp securely holds optics ranging in size from Ø1/2" (Ø13 mm) to Ø3.5" (Ø89 mm) up to 0.28" (7 mm) thick. The guillotine operation of the top plate allows for quick height adjustment for varying sized optics. Conveniently located in the top plate is a fastening screw with a swiveling V-shaped Delrin^®* tip that provides locking force to the optic. The post-mountable base is machined with a dual-action V-groove for extra stability. The overall thin profile of the mount makes it ideal for compact optomechanical structures. For holding optical components thicker than 0.28" (7 mm), please consider one of our other V-Mounts.

I purchased this item. The construction seems to me not completely metric. I measured the clamping screw because i plan to make a second tapped bore for it. It seems to me it is not M5 but #10-32 UNF as read from the STP file. I would appreciate if this was made clear also in the item description. When i puchase a "metric" part, i assume ALL the threads are metric.

Thank you for reaching out to us Jakob. I am sorry for the misunderstanding. For all of our metric vs imperial parts on our website, the differences are minor. Typically the changes are limited to the spacing and threading of mounting holes. As you assessed, the thread is indeed #10-32-2B UNF.
