Thorlabs’ selection of electro-optic (EO) modulators includes free-space and fiber-coupled LiNbO3 modulators as well as liquid crystal EO modulators. The free-space amplitude, phase, or resonant fiber modulators can operate at speeds up to 100 MHz, while the liquid crystal modulators operate up to 2.5 MHz. We also offer KD*P Pockels cells that are ideal for Q-Switching.
Fiber-coupled intensity modulators for short-wavelength (830 - 1090 nm) operation are available for speeds up to 40 GHz. Long-wavelength (1260 - 1625 nm) fiber-coupled intensity or phase modulators for speeds up to 40 GHz can be driven by our EO modulator drivers. A modulator bias controller is also available for use with fiber-coupled intensity modulators. A high voltage amplifier is suitable for driving our free-space EO modulators and a Pockels cell driver is available for low voltage Pockels cells.
