Nonlinear Crystals

Thorlabs offers a variety of nonlinear ß-BBO, LBO, and PPKTP crystals. The ß-BBO nonlinear crystals are mounted in Ø1" housings with engravings that indicate the rotation axis and polarization orientations for the input and output beams to aid in aligning the crystal for optimal phase matching. The LBO and PPKTP crystals are mounted for drop-in compatibility with our nonlinear crystal ovens, which provide temperature control for phase matching and tuning. Type-I, type-II, and noncritical phase matching nonlinear crystals are available for Second-Harmonic Generation (SHG), type-II nonlinear crystals are available for Sum Frequency Generation (SFG), and type-0, type-I, and type-II nonlinear crystals are available for Spontaneous Parametric Down Conversion (SPDC).
