Thorlabs: Patron Sponsor of the International Year of Light

Newton, NJ - September 4, 2014 -Thorlabs is pleased to announce its support of the proclamation by the 68th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations to designate 2015 as the International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies (IYL 2015) by becoming a Patron sponsor. The initiative, which is being led by a large consortium of scientific bodies together with the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), is aiming to increase global awareness about the importance of light-based and optical technologies in the lives of all human beings and for the development of society.
