The PM880-XP is a Panda style, Single Mode, Polarization Maintaining (PM) fiber. Panda style fiber uses cylindrical stress rods which makes it easier to maintain uniformity over long lengths when manufacturing. Traditionally Panda style fiber has been used in telecom applications.
