FiberBench Optic Mounts
|
Thorlabs offers several component modules that can be used to mount numerous precision optical components. These modules can then be easily integrated into a FiberBench system, and position optics at a consistent beam height of 0.56" (14.2 mm). In each case, the module is designed with two steel dowel pins on its underside that fit into the receiving holes on the FiberBench. Once inserted, the design of the mount ensures that the optic will be at the appropriate height for use within the fiber-optic system. FiberBench Components Featured Below:

The flexure base has two basic pin mounting orientations: vertical and horizontal. Although the vertical pin configuration is the most common, both the vertical and horizontal pins are compatible with our FiberBenches. Please be careful about sending the beam to an available port. A vertical pin configuration is defined as having the pins mounted parallel to the rotation adjustment screw. In the horizontal configuration, the pins will be mounted perpendicular to the rotation adjustment screw. The flexture bases are also seperated by handedness: right or left. The right or left designation will determine the orientation of the cube, plate, or mirror with respect to the rotation adjustment screw and refers to how the beam will be turned. See the sketches and diagrams below for help in selecting a component.
